How many of you shuddered when you saw the imposing theatrics of Heaven and Hell at their this year's tour, as well as the band presenting one of the best shows ever... If you're one of those, then you must possess this DVD, since it manages to reproduce all the magic of those nights, through its exceptional sound (as exceptional was the sound at the concert), the excellent image, the very nice shooting, the remarkable direction and mostly of all, the marvelous performance by the band itself. If, however, you don't belong to the previous category, I guess that you probably didn't make it to any of the tour stops and thus, you'll realize, with bitterness, what you missed...

This DVD was recorded at the Radio City Music Hall on March 30th and the setlist includes songs only from the three studio records that the Dio-fronted Black Sabbath have released. Among them, "The Mob Rules", "Die Young", with the exceptional intro solo, the song that gave the name to the band, "Heaven and Hell", as well as two new songs, "The Devil Cried" and "Shadow of the WInd".

Ronnie James Dio is in outstanding shape and his voice does not betray much of his age, while Ton', as Iommi is often called by Dio, Geezer Butler and Vinny Appice (who didn't not take part at the first release of Dio's Sabbath) execute the songs with the gravity and the dark - Black - style that fits to a band as Black Sabbath are and let their frontman do all the interaction with the crowd, at least until they relax at the end of the two-hour show. The singer did not forget to thank many times the crowd for supporting himself and the band, not only now, but all these years and through every phase of their career.

As extras, you'll watch the 20-minute "Heaven and Hell Road Movie", featuring rehearsals, preparations for the show, brief interviews with Heaven and Hell about how the tour came out and the new songs, as well as with the theatrics designer, members of the road crew and the Iommi guitar technician who describes how his boss lost two of his fingertips.

The 5-minute "Hail the Gods of Metal" is somehow a part of the previous video, with random people singing praise of the band, while the musicians themselves speak of what music means to them. "Meet the Mob" features some minutes of paroxysm by the crowd and "Radio City" some info about the, impressive actually, venue of the specific night.

Of all the above extras, only the road movie is quite interesting. Nevertheless, you're not going to get this DVD because of the extras, but to remember or find out how did the tour of the year looked like.
