If we also include the four albums he made with Marillion, this is Fish’s thirteenth star (sorry, I meant studio album).
“13th Star” is another sample of his musical range, a sample of a multi-dimensioned and born-to-be-mature musician. I’m not a musician, in order to be able to criticize techniques and music technology, however, what reached my ears got even deeper and that is enough for me.
Comparing it to his previous albums (unfortunately I haven’t listened to the “Field Of Crows” album yet), I believe it’s another step ahead, another wondering into emotions as well as into experimentation. Listen to magical “Zoe 25” and songs such as “Square Go”, “13th Star” and more, one can easily realize the reason this specific musician has such faithful followers all these years.
How many times have I mentioned the words “music”, “musician”? Sorry for repeating again and again, yet… that’s Fish!
“13th Star” is a 2007 release, however, it just entered the market, as, up to now, it was available through Fish’s website. It’s also worth it to seek the limited digipack edition (10.000 copies), including “the making” dvd of the album, which is about 65 minutes long.
