That was surely a night to remember! KISS releases a brand new album after a long, long time and we didn’t need a better excuse to gather in the best rock club in town and celebrate the event. The appetizer included a dive into the past through the inexhaustible KISS back catalogue (kudos go to DJ Dimitris Seirinakis who didn’t stick to the known hits and delivered a well-balanced set) the main dish comprised of the listening session of the whole album and the desert encompassed a full-set by the sickest Greek tribute band to KISS…SSIK!

SSIK divided their set in two equal parts –an intermission was necessary in order to listen to “Sonic Boom” in its entity- and I must say that they get better and better with each show of theirs. Having been present in many KISS parties through the years, I underline with certainty that this was by far one of the best as the place was packed, the sound was flawless and the atmosphere ideal…all the familiar faces of the past who brought back wonderful memories from the past. Congratulations to all the members of the Greek KISS Army, to SSIK and all those who did their best in order to make this whole thing happen.

An old friend reminded me of the first KISS meeting in Athens back in 1991…we have surely made many steps forward from that day…but one thing remains the same: Every single time, We Want The Best and We Get The Best!
