I really like those Germans….every album of theirs includes at least 2-3 songs that find their way in my c.d. player long after the initial release date. That’s quite a fit taken into consideration the fact that the band started its career in the 21st century, an era where the longevity of a song is really sought after.
Musically speaking, Shylock moves in the area of such bands as Bonfire, Mad Max and Jaded Heart while the voice of singer Matthias Schenk resembles of Michael Voss’. “Rockbuster” is not the exception to the Shylock rule of a constant flaw of good albums. 10 beautiful songs, melodic guitar parts and catchy chorus hooks paint the picture of the new album and it is really a well-executed musical suggestion for all the hard rock fans. Shylock is an outfit that should definitely be checked out by all hard rock fans!
