A little while before the 20th anniversary reissue since the release of the first super successful album “A Bit Of What You Fancy”, the British decided to bring forth an acoustic cd that includes both original songs of theirs (in a different version, of course) plus some remarkable covers. As a matter of fact, it seems that the band wants to carry on with this project, as the cover sleeve adds the subtitle “Volume One”. Those acoustic renditions have taken a country shift and they probably fit better with Spike’s raspy voice. After all, the cover gives the first taste and then follows the variety of instruments (violin, mandolin etc.) that creates the perfect mood for a different kind of rock and roll.

“Long Time Comin'”, “There She Goes Again”, “Mona Lisa Smiled”, “King Of New York” are quite enjoyablel while from the covers, surely UFO’s “Love To Love” stands out.

If you are fans of that…rock and roll, then the “investment” on the reissue with the 8 bonus tracks is a “must”.
