More than 70 people were injured at this year’s Rock AM Ring in Germany after lightning struck the premises during a storm at 8 pm on Friday June 3rd. At least 42 people were taken to the near hospitals, while 8 were severely injured. Last year 33 people were injured when lightning struck the festival again. Meanwhile, although the promoters were confirming that the festival won’t sto the local authorities overruled their decision and the festival is now suspended. While storms are still hitting the venue the festival urges campers to seek shelter in their tents and cars. Today’s headliners were Red Hot Chilli Peppers, while tomorrow were Black Sabbath.
