Keep it True festival promoters announced that this year’s festival, moves to next year with the same lineup plus some more bands. Read the announcement below:
“Hi Friends,
unfortunately we are also not allowed to hold the KEEP IT TRUE Festival in August. All major events in Germany are prohibited until August 31, and unfortunately we also fall under this category. We support this decision by the government, because even under the extreme conditions a KIT feeling would never be possible and the health and safety of the fans, bands and helpers is of course important to us. That is why we have been working intensively on a solution for a long time. We would now like to present this to you.
KEEP IT TRUE XXIII will be a one off three day festival PLUS the Warm Up Show in Dittigheim in 2021. That means the Warm Up Show will take place on Wednesday, April 21, 2021 in Dittigheim. The big KIT Festival from April 22nd to April 24th in the Tauberfrankenhalle in Lauda-Königshofen. We were able to move ALL bands from 2020 to 2021. However, we had already booked several, some of them exclusive, bands for 2021 and we don’t want to push them back to a later date. That’s why on Thursday there will be another day of the same quality, which we will offer you for 49 Euros + advance booking fees, which is also extremely important for the continued existence of the festival. Holders of 2020 tickets can buy these tickets in advance exclusively until September 30th, 2020. We will publish information about the pre-sale start and the conditions in the coming days. However, you will need your KIT 2020 card number and everyone can only buy one ticket, but there won’t be any shipping costs. All information will be announced in the coming days.
Due to the fact that CIRITH UNGOL have already released their album and Flint cannot participate, there will only be one headliner show of them. This will take place on Friday. The headliner on Saturday will be LOUDNESS with a long, exclusive 40th Anniversary Show with only 80s songs. As CoHeadliner, we were able to book GEOFF TATE on Saturday with an exclusive show in which he will play the complete “Rage For Order” (35th Anniversary) and only songs from the EP and “The Warning”. As a Thursday headliner we were able to book the genious ARIA from Russia again, this time with one of their very rare headliner shows in Western Europe. One of the best live bands on the planet. We will publish all separate information about all bands that will appear on Thursday on our Facebook page every day. You can find the complete line up here.
To Summarize:
All tickets from 2020 remain valid for 2021. This applies to the festival (Fri. and Sat.) as well as the Warm Up Show.
If you cannot attend the 2021 event, we would like to ask you to offer the tickets either on our Facebook event page or privately to friends. The festival is completely sold out and reselling shouldn’t be a big problem. Refunds are an existential problem for us and therefore we would like to ask you to use the reselling option.
The solution with the three full days will only be for this special situation in 2021.
We would like to thank you for your loyalty and support over many years. The reactions to our KEEP IT TRUE TV were outstanding, we would also like to say thank you for that. We try everything to offer you a unique concert experience and therefore often go different ways, this time too. We hope we can rely on your support in the future too. Here is the COMPLETE billing for 2021. Details about the individual “new” bands in the coming days
