The Belgians have returned and are thirsty for blood. In their 9th full-length they are wrathful and determined to prove that the mediocre albums that they released some years ago was just a bad period for them. They are, of course, one of the best brutal death metal bands around.
Their members give their best as they play with utmost brutality and of course the classic vocals of their leader Sven (the only founding member) are so good that you think that he’ll jump out of your speakers and bite you. Of course it couldn’t be an Aborted album without the paranoid cover/artwork and the Carcass-like lyrics and the production of the album is ideal, because you can hear their music loud and clear. “Retrogore” also has some exquisite guests who leave their own stigma with their vocals and these are Julien Truchan (Benighted), David Davidson (Revocation), Jason Keyser (Origin) and Travis Ryan (Cattle Decapitation). Finally, the album will be released as a normal CD, as vinyl with bonus CD and two songs and as a digipak with bonus songs and the “Termination Redux” EP which was previously released only on vinyl and digitally.
