The founder of the excellent Melodic Rock website (www.melodicrock.com), Andrew McNeice, and his label carry on with the release of some excellent melodic rock records. The latest c.d. that fell on my hands was the debut album by those Belgians called “Vanity Kills”. All I Know seems to know where they are going and naturally they are not afraid of displaying their influences that stem from the hard rock genre of the late 80s.

“Vanity Kills” includes upbeat songs with a sensational production and a qualitative level of compositions that will make all the fans of the melodic rock sound feel proud of their favorite music. In addition, there are a couple of mind-blowing songs in there –like “Rain” and “Asphyxia”- that could have easily been big hits. Especially, the former bears the mixing skills of the veteran producer Beau Hill.

I’ve said it in the past and I will say it again…In between 2009 and 2010, we were treated with some hard rock gems. I really hope that this tradition will find its way right into 2011. One thing is certain: keep in mind the name of All I Know…I am pretty sure that the future looks promising for them!

Highlight: Despite the band’s young age, they are quite flawless in their overall performance…
