Quite recently –in between of the war of words with Mick Mars- a rumor started circulating that Mötley Crüe are recording new material with Bob Rock.
Last Monday, April 17, John 5 shared a photo where he was recording in a studio and another one with the iconic producer sitting on a mixing desk, while the caption was: “Let’s do this @motleycrue #bobrock”.
Tommy Lee also shared the same pictures, as well as another one with himself, John 5 and Nikki Sixx and wrote: “Hit that mother fucking record button Mr. Rock!!! Go!”
A few days earlier, on April 13th, Nikki Sixx posted the first photo that led to the consumption that the band is recording, as there was himself, Tommy Lee and John 5 and the caption was: “Another killer songwriting day with Tommy Lee and John 5.” He offered more information in a follow-up tweet, writing: “We are writing. The creative process of songwriting has always been the heartbeat of our band. We’re gonna go in the big studio next week and record a few off the floor and see where it goes. We don’t have a definitive plan at this point. Just letting the songs guide us.”
