Legendary bassist/vocalist Glenn Hughes (DEEP PURPLE, BLACK SABBATH) and blues-rock guitarist/vocalist Joe Bonamassa began writing material today (Monday, September 5) for the forthcoming fourth album from BLACK COUNTRY COMMUNION. The sessions took place at Hughes’s Los Angeles-area home.
In addition to Hughes and Bonamassa, BLACK COUNTRY COMMUNION features drummer Jason Bonham (LED ZEPPELIN, FOREIGNER) and keyboardist Derek Sherinian (DREAM THEATER, ALICE COOPER, BILLY IDOL). The band split in late 2012 due to tensions between Bonamassa and Hughes but announced a reunion earlier this year.
