2019 marks the 40th anniversary of Motorhead’s iconinc albums “Bomber” and “Overkill” and for that reason there is a dedicated website at motorhead79.com for which a video ws released with footage of important political and pop-culture events from 1979, as well as brief glimpses of Motörhead performing. Throughout the year there will be with exciting, loud and heavy announcements about the celebrations. This past April, Motörhead released a special single, “Overkill / Bomber”, on double picture disc seven-inch vinyl via BMG. The single featured a new 2019 remaster of the original “Overkill” single edit. The lavish double picture disc was housed in a gatefold sleeve, featuring iconic photos of the band, shot by Paul Slattery on February 8, 1979 in front of a huge Motörhead Snaggletooth mural on the Harrow Road in Paddington, London.
