The second Cozy Powell birthday bash took place in The Robin 2 in Bilston near Birmingham celebrating the legendary drummer’s birthday with several guests playing the music of Rainbow, MSG, Whitesnake, Jeff Beck and solo stuff.

The following were played: Rainbow: Kill The King, Man On The Silver Mountain, Long Live Rock N Roll, Stargazer, Tarot Woman, Eyes Of The World, Lost In Hollywood, Since You’ve Been Gone, All Night Long. Michael Schenker Group: Armed & Ready, Cry For The Nations, Let Sleeping Dogs Lie, Doctor Doctor. Whitesnake: Walking In The Shadow Of The Blues, Guilty Of Love, Love Ain’t No Stranger, Gambler, Slow & Easy, Crying In The Rain, Slide It In, Here I Go Again. Jeff Beck Group: Got The Feeling, Going Down. Encore: Since You’ve Been Gone, Dance With The Devil.

The players were Neil Murray, Chris Glen, Chris Childs, Richard Bailey, Laurence Archer, Carl Sentence, Jim Kirkpatrick, Bob Richards, Lee Small, Tony O’Hora, Paul Manzi, Peter Knight, Ian Richard Wills, Neil Taylor, Chris Buck, Esta Rowley, Glenn Quinn. It’s worth mentioning that for the show Cozy’s drum kit from Whitesnake’s Slide It In tour was used. Finally, for the shows closing monster drummers Nigel Glocker, Harry James, Mike Terrana και Russel Gilbrook all played together Cozy’s classic “Dance With The Devil” and you can watch the video below.
