Elysium is a female fronted folk gothic rock band featuring violin inspired by the early Within Temptation and Nightwish, as well as popular European prog & folk rock bands such as Anathema, Eluveite & Pineapple Thief. The band often makes passes from classic rock, folk and prog influences. The use of keyboards and orchestrated sequences enhances the songs and adds a symphonic advantage to them, resulting in a duet with violin and guitar.
Elysium was originally created in Orvieto, Italy in early 2013 by bassist Marco Monettini and violinist Christian Arlechino giving the band a prog-folk and dynamic rock sound with a mix of pop-soul vocals by singer Daphne Nisi.
On May 23, 2019, the album “Labyrinth of Fallen Angels” was released with 10 songs, including the song “Before the end”.
