Eric Clapton will be guesting on some songs on the upcoming Rolling Stones album, which is going ot be blues themed. According to an interview Keith Richards gave to BBC6 Clapton “dropped by for a couple of numbers, like the old times down in Richmond”, referring to the Crawdaddy Club in Richmond, Surrey where the Stones used to play with the Yardbirds in mid-60s. The Stones’ album will feature original songs, as well as several covers on songs by Howlin’ Wolf and Little Walter among others, while according to the guitarist it will contain “lots of Chicago blues”. As for the release date Richards never seems to surprise, “in the autumn”, he suggested.
