Twisted Sister’s frontman released an acoustic version of the classic “We’re Not Gonna Take It” as a means of compensation for members of the music industry that requested changes in music copyrights laws in front of the Congress. As most of the laws about musicians’rights were voted during the pre-internet era the artists are not protected against the abuse of their labor. At the same time Snider has scheduled the release of a new solo album in October, titled “We Are The Ones”. “The album’s message is very much on point with the things I’ve always been singing about,” Snider says in a statement. “I’m hoping by moving forward as a solo artist with stuff like this, that the songwriting and performances will stand up to the best of what’s going on today. I want to earn my place in the current music scene.”
