It’s really very difficult for a new and upcoming band to manage to make their name known and spread their music…especially in this day and age where we are flooded with information, songs, albums, bands etc. So I’m especially happy when I hear new bands that really have something to say and without a trace of hyperbole have the potential to be seen on equal footing with established bands in the industry. Fuzzing Nation is one such band with experienced musicians and for the sake of categorization we would classify them as Heavy Rock with several 70s references. “Fuzzing Nation was formed in late 2022 after a meeting of three guys who knew each other through the circle of the Metal scene in Greece, Angel Ioannidis (vocals and guitar) and Stavros Giannakos (bass) have been and still are active members of Doomsters Sorrows Path and Terry Moros (ex drummer of Crystal Clear, InnerWish etc) all of us with a long history of participation in studio albums and several live shows in Greece and abroad. The band quickly took shape from the very first jam in the studio, without looking for a genre to “dub” our music, it just took us where we felt comfortable but above all made us groove and dig it. The result was something between a 70’s sound but also a favourite band Kyuss with a Fuzz sound a bit fresher. So after a few months the first 4 tracks for our first self-titled EP were born which was recorded live because we wanted to get that energy and passion out by playing the tracks like in rehearsal… which is what we ended up doing. The result satisfied us completely and pushed us to start to see the band in a different way but always with the same love and sincerity that comes out of us without anything being pretentious.
We promoted our EP through YouTube, Spotify, Facebook, Instagram and we saw quite a lot of acceptance for a band unknown within the realm of the giants of the respective genre that we would generally describe as Heavy Rock. This is what gave us the impetus to move on to the next step… and the next step is our new release called “Into The Desert”. Another EP with 4 tracks that were written with a lot of passion and appetite but this time with a special focus on the arrangements and a big emphasis on the production so that what we had inside us could come out to the listener, because we wanted to take the next step but also to raise our level. The result is what you can now listen to on all platforms and which makes us proud because it was what we were really striving for as a band. From day one of the EP release the feedback we received was not only
excellent but many times they’ve exceeded our most well-hidden expectations. Our goal now is to do as many live shows as possible to communicate our work to the world in a live situation where all our stage energy can convince even the most difficult listener and next summer find us with a now completed LP even stronger.
