With two studio albums under their belt and rave reviews from both fans and critics alike, Joe Elliott’S Down N’ Outz delivers its first live recording appropriately entitled “The Further Live Adventures Of…” (a nod to he album title of the band’s second album). For those who are not familiar with the name of Down N’ Outz, let’s just say that this is Elliott’s side project that also features certain members of Quireboys (mainly) who pay tribute to their much beloved outfit of Mott The Hopple and the various spin-offs bands that were spawned from the famous british group.

The live that we are reviewing here was recorded in Sheffield (where else?) back in 2014 and captures really the essence of what this band is all about; a bunch of musicians playing their favorite songs, having fun on stage and entertaining the audience. Rest assured, though, that all these take place in an absolute professional manner. As always, Joe Elliott is cool on stage (although it might take you a while to get used to him with a guitar on his hand) and the same applies to the rest of the band. On a positive note, it is the fact that the live feeling of the CD/DVD has been kept intact and the crowd is quite responsive…for the standards of a British audience!

Needless to say that this is a record aimed towards the hardcore Def Leppard fans, all the Mott The Hopple collectors and most importantly to all the nostalgia freaks of the good old rock n’ roll songs.

Highlight: Joe Elliott hasn’t ruled out the possibility of Down N’ Outz recording original material in the future.
