This is one of the mighty Hellenic (it’s the actual Greek word for “Greek”) bands, the ones playing equally mighty music, becoming our credentials for our quality! I’m familiar with the boys, I’ve seen them live a few years ago, I’ve seen them again recently, I know they are totally into it, they possess passion, knowledge, brains, character. It’s been nine years since their previous album… Songs were ready for recording since 2008… Thus they made their move, choosing some of the best peeps around, to work with. Production was handled by George Alamaras and George Florakis at N.U.R.V. Studios and final mastering was arranged by George Marino at the most famous Sterling Studios in the US! Naturally, the outcome was a fine album, touching technical perfection, an album which will make many foreign bands jealous…
Enter Metal, clean-cut, epical, grand, featuring war riffing, leading playing, melodies and solid vox. This is how myth meets reality, giving birth to Mythreal. We listen to “Velvet shadow” and the guitar strikers take us to a mid tempo demonic outburst, ideal for headbanging. Just watch and hear how bass drumming binds with guitar gear. “Evil saints” is another powerful masterrifed song, waiving a splendid guitar theme.
“Visionaire” and its Dio hype will also become a sample of special drums partitions playing along with the melodies. Once you get to listen to this album, you see that stuff all around it; a smashing example of good ideas in music. “Wither away” starts off with 3/4 and then moves to 4/4 and then back to three paces…
