If Duff wanted so desperately to form a band and release on steady basis albums, well I think that he should have gone into the trouble and working hard on it. The truth is that “The Taking” doesn’t do justice to his past and I am forced to make such detrimental comments as “uninspired”, “nerveless”, “tasteless” (add whichever word you prefer that ends with-less). It’s an album that you can hardly bear to listen to it even for one time and this comes from a guy that can suggest dozens of other records by the modern American rock genre. The harsh criticism should be forwarded towards artists that had proved in the past that they can do much better than this mediocre effort and have linked their name with legendary albums.

Can it be that Duff is not capable of something better? How coincidental it is the fact that every single Guns member –with the sole exception of Slash- that has tried to do something on his own has failed miserably to deliver something even respectable…?
