Iron Maiden’s private airplane, Ed Force One, was severely damaged in a runway accident while it was towed for refueling at Comodoro Arturo Merino Benitez International Airport in Chile. While it was towed the aircraft collided with the ground due to a steering malfunction resulting in damaging the undercarriage as well as two of the plane’s engines. Plus, two ground operators were injured and have been taken to hospital. According to engineer’s estimation the plane will require an extend period of maintenance and possibly two new engines. Despite, the crash the band’s scheduled tour dates are not affected.
