Famous Greeks cover “Highway Star”… and it’s not bad!


Dimitris Starovas uploaded on his YouTube Channel a cover version of Deep Purple’s classic “Highway Star” featuring Christos Dantis on vocals.

For those of you unfamiliar with those names let us give you a few information here. Christos Dantis is a popular singer/songwriter who rose to fame in the ’90s with several hit songs and albums in the ’90s. Apart from his own songs, he also wrote for other artists as well. His style of music could be characterized mostly as pop.

Starovas is a famous musician, TV personality, who started his career from running a music shop in Thessaloniki and playing guitar for “Agamoithytai” band. He co-presented cooking(!) TV shows, he used to be a judge in TV talent shows etc, but also played with several bands and artists and recorded many sessions as a guitarist. He is considered one of the best guitarists in Greece.
