Red Hot Chili Peppers announced the return of John Frusciante to the band. “The Red Hot Chili Peppers announce that we are parting ways with our guitarist of the past ten years, Josh Klinghoffer,” the band said. Josh is a beautiful musician who we respect and love. We are deeply grateful for our time with him, and the countless gifts he shared with us. The group added: “We also announce, with great excitement and full hearts, that John Frusciante is rejoining our group.” For the record, Frusciante joined the band in 1988 after founding guitarist Hillel Slovak died and recorded the two albums that broke Peppers to the mainstream “Mother’s Milk” and “Blood Sugar Sex Magik”. He left the band again because of his heroin addiction and rejoined in 1999 and played in “Californication” (1999), “By The Way” (2002) and “Stadium Arcadium” (2006) and then he left again in September 2009…
