Swedish occult rockers GHOST have been forced to cancel their appearance at the U.K.’s Download festival.
The band was scheduled to take to the Maverick Stage at 6:25 p.m. today (Sunday, June 12) but called off its set after frontman Papa Emeritus III fell ill.
GHOST issued a statement via the festival’s official Twitter account, saying: “We regret to inform you that due to a severe case of laryngitis, GHOST will not be able to perform at Download 2016.“
