Graham Bonnet is 74 years old…let me say it once again: he is 74 years old! It’s a wonder how this legendary musician keeps his unbelievable voice in such a high and remarkable level while at the same time keeps on releasing brilliant records! For those of you out there who have followed Bonnet’s career -especially, the last 6-7 years- I am certain that you know perfectly well what to expect from his brand new studio offering as “Day Out In Nowhere” is not radically different compared to its last two predecessors.

Having said that, there are at least two key differential elements on the new album. The first one is the clear notion by Bonnet to go down a musical road which is similar to his early work with Alcatrazz. Many songs remind of that style and we couldn’t be happier. The second thing is the fact that on the new album there are some pretty cool names as special guess thus adding a potential extra incentive for purchasing “Day Out In Nowhere”. Don Airey, Jeff Loomis and Roy Z are those guests, and they definitely add a special sonic flavor to Bonnet’s new endeavor.

All in all, this is an album that will definitely please the old guard of classic rock fans all around the world. The only thing that worries me is if it will manage to attract a younger generation of music listeners…I sincerely hope so.

Highlight: When you see legendary musicians coming up with such amazing records, you can only feel proud and happy at the same time…
