Halestorm will release a new EP titled “Halestorm Reimagined” on August 14th featuring new recordings of some of the band’s songs with Evanescence’s Amy Lee as a special guest on one of them, as well as a cover of “I Will Always Love You”.
“Halestorm Reimagined” contains: I Get Off, Miss The Misery, I Am The Fire, I Will Always Love You, Mz. Hyde and Brake In, where Amy Lee sings with Lzzy. The singers have performed this song together before on Hale’s internet show “Raise Your Horns With Lzzy Hale” last May.
“What I love about dueting on that song with you is that it started out as as love song that I wrote for my significant other” —says Lzzy Hale referring to Halestorm guitarist Joe Hottinger — “but when we sing it together, it’s this act of unity, especially with the two of us being women and being women musicians. It’s like we have each other’s backs. And the lyrics mean something completely different when I sing it [with you].”
