According to Billboard.com, METALLICA’s new single, “Hardwired”, has landed at position No. 9 on Hot Rock Songs chart, which blends radio airplay, digital sales and streaming data. The song, which is taken from the band’s upcoming tenth studio album, “Hardwired… To Self-Destruct”, has also entered the Hard Rock Digital Songs chart at No. 1 and the Rock Digital Songs chart at No. 6, with 20,000 downloads sold, according to Nielsen Music.
“Hardwired” has replaced DISTURBED’s “The Sound Of Silence” at the top of the Hard Rock Digital Songs chart, ending “Silence”‘s 30-week reign on the chart. “Hardwired” also moved 14-3 on the Mainstream Rock Songs and 21-13 on the Rock Airplay (4.5 million in audience) charts.
