Catalan-Dutch quintet was formed in 2008 and released their debut album the following year. Featuring a girl singing, a girl possessing a clear and totally cool voice, outside the whole Rock an’ Heavy and Symphonic motif… Yet, the musical style is very close to Rock, escorted by Prog keyboards, pointing at Spock’s Bear, Porcupine Tree and, naturally, Marillion. Harvest have just released their sophomore and we gotta warn ya: this music is made for strong emotional situations…

“Roundabout” and “Intuition” are moving into more Rock forms and “The spell” is more experimental, something between a mature version of The Cranberries and King Crimson’s tend to play something lighter. The Prog element is not present here as we thought it would be, there are no strange tempos and weird pauses… However, the style is prog! The way they play, the way drums and the other instruments bind, the way sequencer tug along… Yes, this is entirely Prog. I also thought of something totally different, The Corrs came to mind, but just because of the singing spice…

There are two special guests on the album, Alan Reed (ex Pallas, Abel Ganz) and THE Steve Rothery of Marillion. Harvest have opened for Marillion in the past, thus the contact was kept. I think that Reed is participating on “Time lapse”, a marvellous creation, a dreamy theme park, based on acoustic guitars, keys, piano and vox. The last song on the album, eight-min long “Stars”, might be the most Prog-ish song of the bouquet, divided in all different parts, featuring tempo changes and a sweet voice, the very mirror of a sweet soul. We told you so, emotions are gonna be strong…
