In a post accompanied by a highly indicative photo of the problem, Scorpions guitarist Matthias Jabs explained the reasons for the cancellation of the German band’s concerts scheduled for this month. In more detail, Jabs wrote the following:

Dear fans and friends,
As you may have already heard, I had a bad accident at my rented cottage. I fell down the 16 step staircase and broke my left pinky finger twice and also broke my left heel.
I had surgery on both hand and foot by the best specialists I could find in Hamburg. Now it’s time to recover and start physical rehabilitation for a speedy recovery.
I will do everything to be able to play guitar on stage again as soon as possible. I am sorry that the September concerts will not take place, but I am very optimistic that I will see you again very soon. Rock n Roll forever…Matthias
