A massive price increase appears to be hitting accommodations near Villa Park, the historic home of Aston Villa, where Black Sabbath will perform their final concert with Ozzy Osbourne.

According to the local newspaper Birmingham Live, hotels near Villa Park are raising their prices by up to 725%!

The publication highlights the three-star Apollo Hotel on Hagley Road, a 15-minute drive from Villa Park, as an example. According to their report, a “superior” double room without breakfast on the night of the concert costs £619 on Hotels.com. By comparison, the same room—booked through the same platform—for Saturday, June 28 costs just £75.

Birmingham Live also points to a Travelodge in Broadway Plaza, 14 minutes from the concert venue, reporting that a room that costs just £53.99 on June 28 will skyrocket to £319.99 on July 5. Similarly, in Yardley, a 22-minute drive from Villa Park, a Travelodge room will cost £303.99 on July 5, compared to just £47.99 if booked a week before Back To The Beginning.

After the challenge of securing tickets—since, according to the BBC, the online queue to purchase them exceeded 60,000 people (despite Villa Park’s 42,000-seat capacity), and prices ranged from £200 to several thousand pounds—these skyrocketing hotel rates are yet another obstacle for fans hoping to attend Back To The Beginning.
