With a name from another era and a country of origin in distant Mexico, the following sound proposal is their second recording, the first with the well-known German label Steamhammer, hoping (like most new bands), for greater recognition.
What we get from the band is extremely well-played Heavy – Power metal, with a pervasive Hard Rock feel. Compositions that are not stingy in showing us the level of musical talent they possess, and any “exaggeration” works in favor of a well-constructed composition, with a harmonious beginning, middle and end.
Although overall, in the end, we are left with the feeling that we have heard this style before from bands with much greater fame and history, it would be a shame not to listen to Jet Jaguar at least 2-3 times. The album’s nearly 48 minutes (8 compositions and 2 bonus tracks) flow smoothly, with melodic songs at a slightly increased tempo and quite loud vocals. The cover, with its retro aesthetic, adds to the final whole (and perhaps unfortunately so) a more complete picture of the type of fans it wants to appeal to.
