What a killer song “Evil” is!!! I could recommend the purchase of the new John Waite album only for the sheer presence of this new Waite composition. Let me make something clear for you: I was never a big fan of John Waite’s voice. Yes, this is a characteristic, melodic, expressive voice…there is no argument here. I just don’t like the way he is handling the vocals…but I am simply a journalist and the simple truth is that John Waite is a well-respected singer! No doubt about it…

What a killer song “Evil” is!!! This could actually be the bastard child of a Jean Beauvoir song (it kinda reminded me of the atmosphere of “Feel The Heat”) and a Stones’ hit from the late 70s. John Waite surely hits the bull straight between the eyes with this one and I can honestly say that this song can already be regarded as a classic John Waite tune.

As for the rest of the bunch, we get a well-mixed effort of classic rock and melodic rock songs that are carefully crafted in the studio and I can’t find a reason not to suggest this album…as a matter of fact, I can find a good reason for the purchase: “Evil”! ‘Nuff said.

Highlight: I think it is pretty obvious what’s the highlight of the album…
