Kryptos Force Of Danger

This is the second time in a row that I am impressed by this metal band from India. “Force Of Danger” is another great album.

The compositions are cool, the riffs are bone-crashing and the swagger is all over the place. Listening to the songs you get a feeling that you are hunted with no chance of escape. The vocals, as usual, go to more extreme metal style, but the melodies and most importantly the solidness on guitars, bass and drums creates a wall of sound, an undefeated line of attack that comes down like a hammer for as long as the album lasts.

The variety of influences sound richer on this album, with more classic metal bands like Maiden, Priest and Accept being added to the usual thrashers Testament, Kreator, Exodus etc. Another difference that I noticed from its predecessor, “Afterburner”, is that this one is even more accessible to the average listener.

With most of the songs being imposing and breath-taking, the album gets a scary feeling, like being trapped inside a nightmare. Plus, some of the guitar solos are more rock’n’roll-y, which is something that suits the songs very well.

In general, the band is on a high, going from strength to strength, while in the live department they are approaching the… European shores, so I hope that when the pandemic and the COVID related restrictions are gone we will have the chance to see them in our country.
