The legends of Japanese metal celebrate 35 years since the release of their debut album with this luxurious edition. Samsara Flight is a release divided in three chapters. The first one is consisted of re-recorded songs taken from the first three Loudness albums. The second one is a best off selection compiled by the fans of the band and the third one is a DVD from the 2015 The Sun Will Rise Again tour that celebrated the 30th anniversary of the Thunder In The East album (we were fortunate enough to see them perform live in Greece during that particular tour). In the market you will also find a standard edition including only the 12 reworked songs and this is the one presented here. 12 classic songs that the band often performs live. The re-recordings haven’t stripped the songs out of anything at all since the band has not interfered with the core of the compositions. What has changed is the production and the sound which are enhanced while the band is in the top of its performing game. As for Minoru Nihara, its uncanny how well preserved his pitch and range are, a statement also confirmed on the Kyttaro stage one year ago.
There aren’t more to be said. The fans of the band like myself will try to locate and obtain a copy in a reasonable price range (I hope).
