Ex-Screaming Trees frontman, Mark Lanegan, died yesterday February 22nd.

“Our beloved friend Mark Lanegan passed away this morning at his home in Killarney, Ireland. A beloved singer, songwriter, author and musician, he was 57 and is survived by his wife Shelley. No other information is available at this time. The family asks everyone to respect their privacy at this time”, the publicist’s statement read.

Mark Lanegan began his career in the ‘80s. In 1985 he took over the position of singer in Screaming Trees, the band disbanded in 2000. Then he followed a solo career, with the great success of “Bubblegum” in 2004, while he was a member of The Gutter Twins, Queens Of The Stone Age, he even collaborated and with Isobel Campbell.

Last December he released his memoir, entitled “Devil In A Coma”, where he told his adventure with COVID-19.

In 2020 he published his autobiography “Sing Backwards And Weep”.
