For the fourth consecutive year, and under the auspices of the Municipality of Agrinio, we welcome you to the Papastrateia Educational Institutions in Agrinio on Friday, August 28 and Saturday, August 29, 2026, to experience one of Greece’s premier live metal events, featuring outstanding bands from Greece and abroad.

Metal Union Festival 2026
DAY 1 – FRIDAY 08/28/26
The first day of METAL UNION FESTIVAL 2026 kicks off with Dreamlord. The Greek heavy/power metal band, known for its devotion to epic melodies and classic metal spirit, arrives in Agrinio ready to deliver a powerful opening performance full of energy, passion, and authentic heavy metal attitude.
Next up are Sirius. With an aggressive modern metal sound, commanding stage presence, and steadily growing reputation within the Greek scene, Sirius have managed to stand out through their intense live performances and strong musical identity. Their appearance at Metal Union Festival promises to be explosive and full of raw energy.
The evening continues with Tidal Dreams. The Athens-based heavy metal band has carved out its own distinctive path through epic compositions, melodic atmosphere, and emotionally charged soundscapes. Having shared stages with important names of the metal scene and built a solid live reputation, Tidal Dreams are ready to captivate the Metal Union Festival audience with a memorable performance.
Immediately following, the legendary On Thorns I Lay will bring one of the festival’s most atmospheric and imposing performances. One of the most important Greek metal bands to achieve international recognition, On Thorns I Lay have left their mark on the doom/death metal scene since the early 1990s, combining dark atmosphere, emotional depth, and a unique sonic identity. With decades of experience and worldwide respect, the band promises a deeply immersive live experience.
The night culminates with the mighty Grand Magus. The legendary Swedish heavy metal warriors stand among the most respected names of the European metal scene, having built a unique musical legacy through massive riffs, epic melodies, and unstoppable live energy. With an acclaimed discography, appearances at major festivals worldwide, and a devoted international fanbase, Grand Magus arrive in Agrinio as the headliners of Day 1, ready to deliver an unforgettable closing show and launch METAL UNION FESTIVAL 2026 in the most spectacular way possible.
DAY 2 – SATURDAY 08/29/26
The second day of the METAL UNION FESTIVAL kicks off with the dynamic Plague Spreader. The death/thrash metal band from Patras and Agrinio is one of the rising forces of the Greek underground scene. With aggressive riffs, extreme energy, and non-stop stage action, Plague Spreader are determined to deliver an explosive live set that will set the festival ablaze from the very first minutes.
Next up is Project Renegade. The Athens-based alternative/heavy metal band has made a name for itself thanks to its contemporary sound, dynamic live performances, and distinctive stage presence. With appearances alongside big names in the European metal scene and major tours under their belt, Project Renegade takes the stage at the Metal Union Festival ready to captivate the audience.
Immediately following, Enemy Of Reality will deliver a high-caliber symphonic metal experience. With their imposing and melodic sound, atmospheric compositions, and the charismatic presence of Iliana Tsakiraki, the band has earned the respect of the European metal community. Having shared the stage with top names such as Arch Enemy, Epica, and Therion, Enemy Of Reality promises a riveting performance full of intensity and emotion.
The evening continues with the exceptional Mother Of Millions. The progressive/post-metal band from Athens is one of the most important and recognized Greek bands of the modern era. With a cinematic aesthetic, emotional depth, and atmospheric compositions, Mother Of Millions have managed to stand out internationally, touring and performing alongside huge names in the progressive scene. Their new album “Magna Mater” confirms that they are at the peak of their creativity, and the Metal Union Festival audience is in for a unique experience.
The festival culminates with the explosive THRAX PANC. One of the most unique and talked-about bands on the Greek scene, THRAX PANC manage to blend traditional Thracian music with punk, rock, and heavy elements, creating a wild musical experience that turns every performance into a celebration. With their signature energy, authentic sound, and explosive connection with the audience, they are coming to Agrinio to close out the Metal Union Festival 2026 in the most spectacular way possible.
