In an announcement on social media, the re-established German power metallers Metalium, announced that the band will continue without singer Henning Basse. The band is also calling for auditions for anyone interested in the singer’s position, always with strict professional criteria.

Metalium was formed in 1998 as another super group that managed to gather a large core of well-known and acclaimed musicians around its founder, Lars Ratz (Chris Caffery, Mike Terrana, Jack Frost, Mark Cross, Michael Ehre, etc.) and keep German power metal fans busy throughout the 00’s. The band has been essentially inactive since 2009, when they released their last album, while in 2021 Ratz was killed in an accident while flying his small plane. As of 2023, Henning Basse and Matthias Lange had announced that the band was alive again and that they were working on new material.
