Last night, Sunday November 6th, Metallica played a special show honoring the late Jon “Johnny Z” and Marsha Zazula, founders of legendary Megaforce Records, the record company that launched the band’s career.

The show took place at Hard Rock Live at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in front of 7 thousand fans with playing its first two albums, “Kill Em’All” and“Ride The Lightning”, start to finish. Raven, who also started their career at Megaforce, opened the show.

“Jonny gave us our first break in New York, released our first albums on his Megaforce Records label, and put us out on the road for our first real tour. With Marsha by his side, Jonny was a mentor, a manager, a label head, and a father figure to us all…. we would not be where we are today without the two of them”, Metallica wrote when they announced this special show.
