Guitarist and founding member of the Eagles, Glenn Frey, passed away yesterday January 18th after complications from rheumatoid arthritis, acute ulcerative colitis, and pneumonia. He was 67. His health was fainting and he had a surgery last November that actually caused the band to cancel their Kennedy Center Honors appearance in December. Frey wrote and sung some of the band’s greatest hits like “Take It Easy”, “Tequila Sunrise”, “Lyin’ Eyes”, “Heartache Tonight” and “Hotel California” of course, while he won six Grammy awards with the band. After the Eagles broke up in 1980 he embarked in a successful solo career with most notable hits “The Heat Is On” and “You Belong To The City”. He also appeared on “Miami Vice”. RIP Glenn Frey
