Both Nikki Sixx and Slayer drummer Paul Bostaph had only the worst things to say about Donald Trump’s recent election.
Seeing as the interview with Bostaph was conducted less than four months prior to the presidential election, the topic of politics came up, with drummer Paul Bostaph saying: “Donald Trump’s the biggest joke I’ve ever seen in my life. Everybody, like, clapping for some of the stuff he says? I’m, like, this is the scariest shit I’ve ever seen as an American — in my lifetime.
MÖTLEY CRÜE and SIXX:A.M. bassist Nikki Sixx says that he “can’t wait” until Donald Trump is out of the White House, explaining that he doesn’t believe the real estate mogul is “the right choice” to lead the United States.
Sixx’s latest comments came as he was discussing the inspiration for the SIXX:A.M. track “Rise” during a February 1 Facebook Live chat from his home.
Sixx said: “Hey, I can’t wait ’till the guy is gone, but if he does a great job, our economy does great, that means concerts can go great, that means people can afford tickets, that means we can all have a great time. It means that hopefully we can put an end to terrorism, we can put an end to a lot of things that are happening in our country we are not happy about — if he does a great job. So let’s hope he does a great job. And if you’re a Trump supporter, good for you. I’ve got no problems with you. I hope I don’t get to say, ‘I told you so,’ in four years. I really hope that doesn’t happen.
