Central Bank of Ireland announced the release of a limited edition €15 silver proof coin to honour Phil Lynott. The great rocker would have turned 70 this year. It’s the second coin of the series Modern Irish Musicians, which began last year with Rory Gallagher. The release is scheduled for November 27th in 3000 pieces, it will cost 65 euros and will be available on collectorscoins.ie. The first Lynott coin will be presented to President Michael D Higgins at St. Kevin’s College in Crumlin – Lynott’s old secondary school.
