Queen + Adam Lambert began their most recent North American tour last night (June 23) at the Gila River Arena in Glendale, Ariz. The concert began with “We Will Rock You” and concluded with the song that served as its a-side, “We Are the Champions.” Sporting dyed-red hair, giant sunglasses (at times) and going through numerous costume changes, Lambert led the band through 19 other Queen tracks, ranging from hits like “Bohemian Rhapsody,” “Killer Queen” and “Under Pressure” to lesser known cuts like “Stone Cold Crazy” and “Get Down, Make Love.” In addition to a drum battle, Lambert also performed one of his own songs, “Two F–,” and Brian May took center stage for “Last Horizon,” an instrumental from his solo album Back to the Light.
