Jeff LaBar

Ex-Cinderella guitarist, Jeff LaBar, died yesterday July 14th at his apartment in Nashville. He was only 58 years old.

The news were confirmed by his ex-wife, Gaile LaBar-Bernhardt, who mentioned that his friends and family were unable to reach him, so she decided to check on him.

The cause of death remains yet unknown.

His son, Sebastian, commented on Instagram: “So i just got the call… @jefflabar , my father, my hero, my idol, passed away today. I’m currently at a loss for words. I love you pop! if you could, please share pictures or video of all the fun times we all had with my dad. It would be greatly appreciated”.

Jeff joined Cinderella in 1985, replacing Michael Schermick (who left the band with drummer Tony Destra to form Britny Fox).

Except from Cinderella he was also playing with Naked Beggars with Eric Britingham, from whom he left in 2017.

In 2014 he released his debut solo album “One For The Road”.

Lately, the guitarist revealed that he was fighting with substance and alcohol addiction for several years and that actually was the reason for Cinderella’s inactrivity.
