This is a special-edition release (and a heavyweight one at that). To celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Hear N’ Aid project—which gave the world the song “Stars”—Rock N’Roll Children, the best domestic tribute band, decided to re-record “Stars” featuring some of the artists currently active on the Greek music scene, managing not only to capture a snapshot of a part of today’s scene but also to breathe new life into the song for at least another 40 years. And no, in this text you won’t find analyses of who participated and who didn’t, who is in what order, and how it should be. The final result pays homage to the original while also breathing the air of the present and sending messages of solidarity and generosity to future generations—values that seem to be in crisis.
