Metal Nerds Inc. has joined forces with RFK Media to present the new 44-page comic/graphic novel “KeelWorld,” in which Metal Cowboy embarks on a journey through time, from the heyday of 1980s Hollywood to a post-apocalyptic future.
The song: In Ron Keel’s familiar classic style, “The Last Ride” is a fast-paced track that combines the energy of Keel’s metal spirit with the roots of the southwestern hard rockin’ sound that has characterized his musical style for the past 30 years. “The Last Ride” features Mike Vanderhule (Y&T), Travis Toy (Rascal Flatts), and Keith Roberts. The lyrics, written by Ron Keel, are some of his best (“Inside and out I’ve earned these scars, from the Sunset Strip to the cowboy bars”).
The video: Inspired by the comic and the central idea of Jason McCorriston/McCardy Media, the clip brings the story to life in an impressive way, recreating the glorious years of yesterday amid the threat of a future ruled by artificial intelligence.
