Cynic and ex-Death drummer Sean Reinert was found dead in his California home on Friday night, January 24. The cause of death the only 48-year-old Reinert has not been disclosed so far. The drummer was a founding member of Cynic along with guitarist / singer Paul Masdival. In 1991 the two became members of legendary band Death and recorded the album “Human”. After the tour they returned to Cynic, which released their debut, “Focus”, in 1993. After the breakup of the Cynic, the duo wrote music for television and cinema. In 1999 they collaborated with Aeon Spoke, while in 2007 Cynic re-formed for a tour and an album (“Traced In Air”, 2008) in which they participated. His last appearance with Cynic was in 2015 when he finally left the band. His latest project was Perfect Beings, a progressive rock band from Los Angeles, releasing their album “Vier” in January 2018.
