2002-2022, Chania Rock Festival celebrates 20 years!
Chania Rock Festival is thrilled to announce the Sisters of Mercy as the headliners of Sunday, July 31st, 2022!
The British band will perform for the first time in Crete; an evening that cannot be missed!
Sisters of Mercy is one of the most important bands to emerge from the post punk scene, with the imposing presence and the heavily melancholic voice of Andrew Eldritch giving their mark. They are a reference point for the dark rock sound and the dark culture in general.
Some of the songs that will be heard on Sunday, July 31st 2022:
“Alice”, “Temple Of Love”, “Marian”, “This Corrosion”, “More”, “Lucretia My Reflection”, “Dominion / Mother Russia”, “Body And Soul”, “First And Last And Always”, “Vision Thing”, “Ribbons”, “No Time To Cry”, “Walk Away” … a special night for Chania and for Crete!
The line-up of the day will be completed with 4 more bands, this will be an evening of great celebration!
The Theater Anatolikis Tafrou will host this year’s Chania Rock Festival. It is located close to Chania old Port and perfectly adapted to the special concert conditions, as imposed by the Ministry of Health.
There will be space for standing but also for sitting crowd.
The number of tickets will be limited as required by the health rules in Greece for the time being.
