Classic, clean, brutal and aggressive “Heavy Metal”. That is the feeling I got after listening the second album of the Austrian band “Sole Method”.

Looking at the back cover of the booklet, two out of four members of the band are wearing “Pantera” and “Down” t-shirts and if we take into account that the “Bonus Track” is a cover version of Judas Priest’s “Nightcrawler”, we get an initial suspicion of what we are going to hear in “The Way of the Decent”.

When we listen to the first track our suspicions are confirmed. Old school “Thrash Heavy Metal” that we heard in the late 80s early 90s, which is a good and a bad thing at the same time.

The good thing is that the band tries a good recipe that the fans love. The compositions are strong, fast, and the members of the band show that they can play really good. Kudos to the Drummer “Wildan Srkalovic” for his playing in songs like ‘All Or Nothing’ or ‘Me Myself And I”.

The general complaints have to do with the compositions of the songs. All the songs are good but we heard these songs before from bands like Pantera, or Exodus many years ago.

In the second album “Sole Method” show that they have the technical abilities to play nice stuff, the only thing they have to do now is to think nice things to play.
