Little Steven and another 7 acts confirmed!
Steel Panther, Saxon and Carcass among latest additions.
On top of his day job with “The Boss” and acting in beloved TV series “The Sopranos” and “Lillyhammer”, Bruce Springsteen’s guitarist Steve Van Zandt also has a successful solo career. His album debut came out in 1982 and shortly after, he made big waves with his anti-apartheid song “Sun City” and the equally political “Freedom – No Compromise” album. He is now working on his first solo album since 1999 and this summer Little Steven and The Disciples Of Soul are coming to the Sweden Rock Festival for the very first time!
Also confirmed for the festival are 80’s hair metal parody band Steel Panther, long time Sweden Rock favorites Saxon, who are bringing their classic eagle lighting rig, death metal pioneers Carcass and renowned prog metal band Coheed And Cambria.
The Finns in Apocalyptica are returning to both Sweden Rock and their roots – under the tagline “plays Metallica by four cellos” they will focus on the Metallica interpretations that made them famous in the late 90´s. Also returning to their roots are melodic hard rockers Hardline, who will be celebrating the 25th anniversary of their breakthrough album “Double Eclipse”. And last but not least, we also welcome Swedish metal band Corroded to this summer’s festival!
With this, 56 out of this summer’s 80 acts have been announced. The remaining acts will be made public as they get confirmed.
