Rarely, if not at all, you are treated with a review of a record like this due to the sheer fact that it doesn’t exactly fit in the content of our usual stuff. But there are two reasons that you are now reading about The Last International Playboys (cool name, by the way). The first is that their singer, Angel Kalantzis, used to be on a really cool hard rock band called Trademark and the second (and most important) is the fact that this is a brilliant and top-notch effort that every music fan in general should really check out!

While we are here, let’s answer some basic questions so as to get an accurate picture of “Who Shot Roy?”. Who are The Last International Playboys? The names don’t matter really as all the members are experienced and technically flawless. Who is…Roy? Well, if you don’t know who Roy Race is then you either didn’t grow up in the 80s or you don’t read comics (shame on you). Which is the musical style of the album? If you are into the indie British pop-rock scene, you are craving for 60s nostalgia or you are a fan of U2, Depeche Mode, The Smiths etc. then this is the album for you! Last but certainly not least, why should I listen to “Who Shot Roy?”? The answer is really simple. This is a well-crafted, artistically thorough and flawless record from a musical and lyrical standpoint that everybody should not only listen to but more importantly buy it. Trust me…you won’t regret it! For more info:  https://thelastinternationalplayboys.bandcamp.com/
